One thing should be clear to us all.  Truth is being assaulted from many different sides and the battle is serious.  With the recent attempts of the government to pressure and manipulate Catholics in America to violate their consciences by means of the HHS mandate, as well as in other areas, the threat to religious freedom has only been stepped up to an unprecedented level. There is no time to delay.  We all need to look at ourselves and ask whether or not we are doing what we can to make a difference. Pope John Paul I, in his very short pontificate, told the world that we only preserve the truth that we defend.  These words have more meaning today in America than maybe at any other time.
